We hope you are enjoying this fine summer weather and getting outside with friends and family. Summer is by far my favorite season of the year, and it is also a great time at KN+S too. All of our team members look forward to the warmer and longer days and can’t wait to get through our “busy season” to enjoy this weather and less stressful work environment. While we have plenty(!) of work to do, the pace is more manageable, and deadlines, while looming, are not as ominous.
We appreciate the fact that so many of you were responsive to our constant pleading (ok, sometimes begging) for information and got us your last few items of information into our firm for 2022 as quickly as possible. It helps us immensely, to get your information in hand as soon as you get it, so we can beat the fall rush. Our firm this year is pushing hard to get all our KN+S client information and forms into our hands by mid-summer to avoid burdening our professional and administrative staff with the impending deadlines.
At KN+S, Fridays are “family time off” in July and part of August. This year, at the beginning of August, we are having a firm-wide office retreat capped by an “Essex beach day” and a Red Sox game. With employees in over 10 states now, it’s always good for the firm to get everyone together for a few days of fun and a bit of training and firm meetings.
Growth continues to be strong here at KN+S and despite fears of a recession, I would say most of our clients are doing well overall. We expect our firm’s top-line revenue to be at its highest level ever in our 35+ years. These past few weeks we have made 4 new hires to add to our team. Requests for new audit and tax client meetings are keeping us busy through the summer and it appears we are on pace for another stellar year. If inflation stays in check with interest rates moderating a bit, we anticipate a strong second half of the year for everyone.
So, in summary, we are working hard, getting trained hard, and preparing for next year already. We hope you are having fun too and relaxing a bit. Before you know it, those darn leaves will be falling from the trees.
